Marijana Condic and Lisa Leipziger

LIKA MIMIKA are Marijana and Lisa. Marijana stands for LIKA. Lika is a region in Croatia, with which Marijana associates her fondest childhood memories. Nowadays she calls both Frankfurt and Berlin her home. She completed the Academy of Marketing Communications and worked as a PR-consultant and fashion producer prior to launching LIKA MIMIKA.

Lisa stands for MIMIKA. Mimika is a tribe in Papua New Guinea, which for Lisa symbolizes the exotic big, wide world. Growing up in Germany and Spain, Lisa has experienced this wide world from an early age. She has also lived in London and Paris and studied PR and communications in Leipzig. Currently she lives and works in Frankfurt.

These two girls don’t see themselves as classic designers, but more as entrepreneurs who implement their ideas with the help of a good team of creatives and consultants. LIKA MIMIKA is currently focusing on producing hand-made leather espadrilles which distinguish themselves by their minimalist design and exceptional quality. In the future they are planning to expand their portfolio by launching further accessories.
